The Indigenous Hub

A Gathering Place for Cultural Reclamation and Reconciliation

Our mission is to promote Reconciliation by providing people of Indigenous ancestry a safe place to gather in Renfrew County to reclaim culture, and to educate all about Indigenous heritage and issues.

Nenaawateg Inc. operates an Indigenous Hub dedicated to creating a community among Indigenous individuals and groups. It provides a space where Indigenous people can connect, share their experiences, and collaborate on initiatives to preserve and revitalize their cultures.

In support of the National Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (NTRC) Calls to Action, we are committed to Reconciliation and intend to educate the public, Indigenous community members, and settlers (non-Indigenous individuals), about Indigenous cultures, histories, and philosophies which encompass a wide range of topics including traditional customs, languages, art, spirituality, and contemporary issues still faced by Indigenous peoples.
