SUMMARY:CoTL Vigil for Indigenous Children
DESCRIPTION:Arnprior Regional Health [ARH] invites members of the community
  to a vigil - including a smudging ceremony and tobacco offering - hosted 
 by the Circle of Turtle Lodge to honour the children who never returned ho
 me from residential schools\, as well as Survivors\, their families\, and 
 communities.\n\n September 29\, 2025 \n11:00 am: The Grove Home Courtyard\
 n1:00pm: The Hospital (courtyard by Entrance D)\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more than a
  century\, residential schools forcibly separated over 150\,000 First Nati
 ons\, Inuit\, and Métis children from their families and communities. Man
 y children were denied food\, care\, and safety. They were stripped of lan
 guage\, culture\, and identity. Some never made it home.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Tr
 uth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada has since confirmed what Survi
 vors have long told us: that the residential school system was an act of c
 ultural genocide\, leaving a legacy of trauma that continues to affect gen
 erations.\n\n\n\n\n\nIt is only through listening\, learning\, and acknowl
 edging this painful history that we can walk the path of reconciliation to
 gether. This vigil is an opportunity for reflection\, solidarity\, and rem
 embrance.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage everyone to wear orange and attend as we
  pause to remember\, reflect\, and recommit to creating a future rooted in
  respect\, healing\, and reconciliation.\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you for joining
